I've heard Texas Furry fiesta is always fun, though I haven't been there myself. I like Further Confusion in San Jose, CA. I've been there a few times and it was always good! Those are the only ones i know anything about personally or from good friends.
Well BLFCis a good up and coming convention. Heard nothing but positive things about that. Further Confusion? Not so much...And I have my OWN drama there, so I can't really give an unbiased opinion there. And Califur is defunct, so, yeah. Eastern cons and BLFC. Anthrocon is HYOOOGE but also a good choice. Hrmmm....MFF, MFM, TFF as mentioned by Rabbitfangs. Sheesh...Still quite a few. :)
A lot of them are about the same, but I hear good things about blfc....if you can get a room, and if you have to share a room make sure it's not with someone who's inviting everyone and their mother there for a "good time". My first con was basically ruined by that >.>;
Well I feel each convention has its own draws and draw-backs.
Megaplex: A good destination convention as it is in orlando, you can make a full vacation out of it! The con is still growing with a new convention center/hotel. There are a large variety of well run and attended panels.
FWA: A great hotel and with plenty of parties. This con from my experience is a 'get turnt' convention. Panels from my experience here are rather lackluster.
Anthro Crossroads East: THis is a NEW convention that is growing rather fast with only 300 people last year. The event has decent panels, a rather small rave, but an AMAZING feeling of family among the con attendees.
Well Texas Furry Fiesta is a good local con if you're still in TX.
The first fur con i did was at FWA, Furry Weekend Atlanta and it's pretty good place too meet and greet with other artists and folks.
Anthrocon is the first and the biggest of the cons. Though, if you're still new to fur cons I'd hold off until you're comfortable. mostly b/c of the way they handle things like Artist Alley purchases for artists work from commissions to merch. Also, the hotel where the convention center is located is always jam packed, so you'd be better off getting a hotel at one of the other places, even then it's either a walk or bus ride to the con.
i'd highly recommend BLFC! i've gone the past 2 years and it's always been a good time. it also happens to be the only con i'm planning on going to but like, i love it so much
Us Oklahoma ( tulsa ) furs are trying to get a con started called Tails and Tornadoes. Would love to invite anyone that reads this out to have a fun weekend. (https://www.facebook.com/ttfurcon/ )
who knows maybe we'll see one another there

Furry Migration, Minneapolis, is a good size I'd say, big enough to have plenty of nice panels but not enough to feel crowded.
