Except the tooth is still there.

So my second molar (on the right side) is toast. I went to the dentist on Monday, and she tried to save it, but there's just not enough of it left. My wisdom teeth have come in crooked, which has resulted in cracked molars, and in particular the right one got hosed. 3/4 of it is gone, sadly.

So after an unsuccessful attempt at a root canal, my dentist tried to just pull the thing. But as it turns out, I really freak out when someone has their hands in my mouth with a pair of pliers trying to yank out one of my teeth, and as a result, my adrenaline kicks in and overrides any amount of lidocaine shot into my gums. So I still feel pain.

Now my gums are still swollen (though they've gotten better) and sore, and the molar is still there. On the plus side, the dentist decided I need to be put under to have my teeth removed, so she referred me to an oral surgeon. Which is what I wanted for my wisdom teeth, anyway.
