If anything, use PostyBirb, it'll save you the work. I agree though, Weasyl is definitely on the quiet side.

FurryNetwork has nice features and it's tim run by some hol good folks.

I made an account on FN, but just noticed 99% of the new uploads have zero views xD Dayum.

By my perception, the site slowed on development for a while and there was a bug with being able to see recent uploads that kinda slowed activity over there. If you are uploading there, you might want to make sure that you're at least notifying your userbase that you do have a FN account, be it a constant link on your uploads or journals.

Due to situations like FN, you'll at least minimize the time you need to keep those galleries active.
