Christmas Binge #5: Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

"Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" is one of those stories that deserve a reboot.
With all the racist, homophobic, and gender violence in our history, this has a lot of potential for a great film, especially with Christmas as a backdrop.
But, as is, the Rankin/Bass special is... Well, just fine.
It has that sort of cheesy-but-upbeat charm with the dated stop-motion, songs that are fine on they're own, but sometimes distract from the plot, and some hammy voice acting.
While I was sort of off-put by Santa's not-so-jolly attitude, it's still a classic sell-out, in the best way.
