I don't like using this journal to rant, or complain about a lot of things, and I will continue to uphold that standard. I've had kind of a rough summer. California isn't exactly a great place to be right now if you're looking for work, so my summer has been mundane, to an unbelievable level. I did find this out about myself: I use writing as a way to escape stress. This summer, the biggest stress has been having absolutely nothing to do and trying not to go insane. A lot of domestic problems, as well.
There is one bright spot, however. I've decided to write a novel. A furry novel, if one might call it that. I plan on posting the first four chapters up here in the coming days. There are a lot of questions I'd like to figure out before getting too involved in this, but I have a fairly solid idea of when I'd like to have this done.
My goal is to have the story ready to hand off to someone from Sofawolf press at Further Confusion 2010.
I got 4 months. Little less than, actually. And school starts next week, which will paradoxically give me more drive to write but less time, in contrast to this empty summer.
It's nice to have a goal, isn't it? I might post questions up here and I would greatly appreciate any input you might be able to offer.
