So, I've noticed that I draw a lot of the same shit over and over. And a lot of the same characters.
And when I look at my gallery I'm really disappointed by the lack of variety. I'd really like to give my watchers something to, ya know, actually watch.
I'd like to bust out of that.
I attempted this by doing trades but half the people never came through on their portion, so I don't know when I'll offer them again.
So, what would you guys like to see more of?
Anythingthat you'd like to see in my style?
Is there anything you feel I do particularly well?
What are some areas that you think I need work in? I realize that I should probably be working on perspective and backgrounds, anything else? Shading? Anatomy? The way that clothing folds?
I'm trying to grow. Now nourish me, motherfuckers, with your suggestions and whatnot.

I do love the colors.
You need to work on being less hard on yourself.

Basically life's in the way. My bedroom had to be completely packed up and removed to get my carpet restretched and cleaned, and it's taking a long time to put it back together since I'm going through stuff a trying to organize it. I'm also pressed to finish summer homework and spend the last week I have with Erik before he moves to college (while also fitting in my other friends who want my attention). And then I have work almost every night til midnight, which makes it hard to get up early the next day.
I'm hoping to wrap up my room and homework this weekend while Erik is away, so hopefully I can get back into sketching stuff up.
As far as this journal goes, I don't know what to tell ya because frankly I like what I see. If your getting bored of Pandas, Canines, and Pastry's (never! =P) I'd suggest forcing yourself to draw random species. Do a whole page of house cats, then wild cats, reptiles, etc. Then you can evaluate what you need to work on for each group.
P.S. I'm super excited to see what you're coming up with for me! I swear that getting art from you is just about even with getting a steal on an awesome pair of shoes (and that's saying something!)

And I just gotta say I saw your post up top about a porcupine, and I think you could do a hella-amazing job on a porcupine. Just knowing how you do fur and hair, those little needles would look awesome in your style.
