I was listening to my local radio station that’s playing Christmas music this morning and when Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song” came on I found myself singing alternate lyrics that were MLP-themed. I went ahead and wrote it down when I got home tonight, here it is ^^

Marshmallows roasting on an open fire
Presents wrapped with pretty bows
Stories and songs, heard from a choir
About ancient tribes and windigos

Everypony knows, some pudding and mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Fillies and Colts, with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Windy is on her way
She’s bringing snow to all this holiday
And every young foal is gonna spy
To see if Windy is up there in the sky

And so I’m offering this simple phrase
To foals from 1 to 92
Although it’s been said, many times, many ways
Happy Hearthswarming, to you
