For me the duration all depends on the character being eaten.
If I like a character would prefer not to have gotten perma-vored.

Perma vore has never been my thing wanna digest someone or something ok but yeah.

Well, it really depends. Is the person interesting enough to hold my attention for more than five
seconds, or would they be better served giving my rear a bit more bounce? To no one's surprise,

It used to be something that really irritated me. In public role-playing, sometimes a permavore set up can be teased and shown off as a spectacle for weeks until the actual event, with lots of 'temp' moments in-between that point. It's also quite often done through a willing setting, which for the most part is a surefire way to make me want to heave, unless the players involved can genuinely evoke a sense of loving devotion where you can believe that a character would genuinely be willing to take that plunge for their lover.

Most players cannot, especially your most prolific permavore predators.

That said...

These days I'm really indifferent to it. Characters and people come and go so regularly. The ones that do go for the permavore tend to be generic, stolen art characters with very limited depth to their character, by the sheer nature of the fact that the writers know they're disposable from the get go. If they do happen to return in a new form or species, they're often just the same personality in a different shell.

And even with all that negativity for the prospect of it, I think it can certainly have a place among the people that do enjoy it, so long as individuals know what they're hunting for.

1. A predator looking to trophy hunt and add a series of heads to their wall (or stomach, ass, generic vore cliche body part).

2. A well built up ending between two role-players or more who genuinely share a caring relationship within the dynamics of both being voraphiles within their respective universes.

In other words, it's all about the substance & character or at the very least, having a place to spotlight your former scenes.

It's got to carry emotion. Be that adoration, passion, intense fear or ultimate submission/humiliation. If it's not significant, what's the point?
