Twitter is converting PNGs to JPGs

I only found this out fairly recently, but Twitter is taking any PNG images you post and making them into JPGs for the sake of faster uploading. If any artist is using Twitter to share art with their followers or commissioners, you're better off using dropbox or something else in order to preserve the quality of the images.
...I will say right now, though, I was not aware about the child porn part.
I like to be in control of what the compression loss looks like.
It's the same thing with making music. You want to control and be comfortable with the compression loss, and still be happy with the result.
