I think my biggest accomplishment was just becoming a little more even-handed when it came to politics. I've realized that we're all each others' neighbors, and we have to learn to coexist. That means trying to see the good, lovable things about people even when their political beliefs are...abrasive. There's still common ground if you look for it.

As for the year ahead, I guess I'd just like to be more productive. I doubt I uploaded even 10 pics this year. Some people can do that much in a week. :P

That is pretty important, and pretty impressive, too, especially in a climate like this where we're pretty much rewarded for hating "them" and demonized when we call out our own "team." But I've always believed if we really care about something and we really want the best for it, we have to do what we can to push to improve on it, not just excuse its failings. We could all do with some improvement and like you said, we're all each other's neighbors. So I can super respect that. It's something I have a lot of trouble with myself.
And hey, quality over quantity, right? I always love what you upload and you've really gotten better and better with what you draw and that particular material you do oh so well. But it's always good to try and do more. I've found it's a lot like exercising. I bitch and moan about getting started but once I get going I usually get into it. I hope you can find something to help you build up that motivation. I would certainly love to see more art from you, after all.

Right. I used to be the same way, thinking to myself, "Those people are bad and we need to get rid of them"... Then I realized, that's probably what they're thinking about me, and I don't want to be gotten rid of. I decided I should treat people how I'd wanna be treated, where I won't necessarily agree with their opinions, but I shouldn't attack them either. We all have good intentions when we lash out, but hatred only begets more hatred. I must reach out with a gentle hand and discover how we can connect as human beings.

I think it really dawned on me when I ran into someone online who was trying to instill the fear of white genocide into people, talking about how the deceitful Liberals will destroy white culture by empowering minorities too much. I found out he liked Duke Nukem, and so do I, so we just talked about Duke Nukem games and had a generally pleasant, non-political conversation. It was magical. XD

And as someone who's in terrible physical shape, I'm not very good at motivating myself. I just hope I'll realize that the pain of trying but failing to make good art is meager compared to the torment and agony of creating nothing at all.
