Let's talk art: Content vs Skill & Time

So I've been on FA for quite a long time now and have noticed something, both on this account and my personal art account (aleitsteinherz)...
People tend to favor the content of an art piece over the amount of time and skill it took to make it.
I've seen people fave things that took little to no skill to draw all because of one thing: it involves their fetish or has a dick on it. It really irks me that some people don't get the recognition they deserve simply because they aren't doing fetish art.
I am aware that I do fetish art to get by, but ny heart goes more towards my personal account and personal art. Yet, even here, people seem to only fave my art simply because it's fetish related. Like I said on my personal account, I will be asking for critique on each piece I created, fetish or personal. I want to be recognized for my skill, NOT the content of my art. I'm sick of feeling like people look at this gallery and just think "Oh murr" while they snub my personal art account just because it has no fetish art.
Please, there is more to me than fetish art.

Saying that, your character art should still be here as a bright light amongst the smut. But for more attentive followers, you can try cross-posting elsewhere. Not to plug other places, but the easiest one is Facebook. There are dedicated groups and communities for art, OC art, fairy art, etc. I've found my best support for my own monster OC on a monster specific group. So don't lose hope, only part of the world sucks! X3
