2019 is a new year, and its a new chanve for alot of people. But this has been a longtime comming in my place. But as a friend once told me "The first step of an apology is learning what you did wrong, and then taking the steps to make sure it doesnt happen again" This past year or two i never did such a thing. Ive been all talk, ive said that i wasnt gonna abuse peoples trust, that i wasnt going to be the same shity person ive been for the longest of time. and sure enough, thats EXACTLY all ive been doing. and people have notices, they arent putting up with my bullshit any longer, and at this point neither am I.
IM sorry for what ive put people through this past year, Im sorry for all the begging and message spam. And im sorry for all the commissions i took without giving any thing in return. This was all the product of years of built up issues in my life and im finally seeting through to getting it fixed.
So the steps im taking for it? First im finally getting professional help now that my inusrance are more or less covered, and im on better terms with my mom and my living conditions, meaning i will no longer need to beg people for help to get my life afloat as well in putting full effort into looking for a job. Next im aware that people are unsatisfied with the quality of the commissions ive given to them, and the only reason they havent said anything is cause it will take even longer to correct them. Im working with some people on being a better artist so that this mistake will not happen again. and 3rd, im showing my initiative by uploading more art so people actually know that i am in fact active.
When all of this is done, i hope to win back the trust and friendship of all the people whom ive wronged. it wont be easy but know that i care, and im trying to make things right. Ive hand out some commissions and ive refunded some people. please contact me about any prior business ive had with you and i will do everything in my power to make things right. That is all i want to do from here on out. I'm sorry and i hope that people can forgive me and give me the chance to make things right in the long run...

What are you talking about?
Before you start debasing everyone he's making amends to on a public apology on the delusion that he's not at fault, do some fucking research and learn what he did wrong to even warrant the apology in the first place.
Everyone deserves a second chance, but that second chance still must be earned. It'll be in your hands to do that.
I remember a paritcularly well-known artist, Dweet-Tea, in a similar situation to you. Commissions way over their head, life got in the way, stuff happens. It happens all the time in the furry fandom. You know what he did when he was making amends? He took his whole commission list, told everyone "if you didn't pay me yet, you don't have to pay me at all and I'm still going to finish what you were going to pay me to do. Those of you who have paid me, I will get your work completed and do an additional piece for you, free of charge, equal to the value of each piece you paid for." And he managed to clear his backlog PLUS the bonus content. No one even brings up the falling off the face of the earth thing any more, except I'm doing so here - as a positive to show that it is possible to regain standing in the community with such an act.
I've seen other artists who fell on a long backlog do similar things, where the longer the wait was, the higher the amount of bonus content they offered up free of charge to each person who originally paid them.
I'm not sure this is a route you're considering taking, but I believe that it should be.
I got what I paid refunded but it was a long road. This is a good first step but you'll have to continue to show.
