New Years Resolutions

APPARENTLY SOMEONE READS THESE THINGS?!
Well nerds, now that I’ve finally graduated and have some time I’ve decided I’m going to try and start posting art I actually draw here. I’ve been practicing hard core since June/July and I think I’m about ready to make my first few attempts at art I’ve drawn myself rather than copying other artists. I’ll be posting some here hopefully starting this month, the first theme I’m going for likely being Pokémon Gyms, where I’m going to attempt to be drawing various Pokémon (and potentially other r34 characters) working out at a gym. I’ve been practicing muscles and art for a while so we’ll see how it goes and feedback will be welcome. Should be nice practice at the least and I’ll finally be able to contribute some original content.
My current plan is that I’m going to do the line work in pencil on paper, and then scan it somehow and do the coloring, detailing, and editing on my iPad using procreate. Should go well I hope! Pokémon are “simple to medium” on line detailing since they’re meant to be animated, so that should let me do this and add my own extra detail while not overwhelming myself. That being said, I’m gonna be mostly staying on model.
As a quick aside, I’m not taking requests yet or anything, but we’ll see what happens as I improve.
In the meantime, I’m officially a geologist now so the job hunt begins! I’m hoping to get out of the middle of nowhere as soon as I can get a job in my field. I’ll akso be working on my other resolutions, which will be to up my bench press weight to 200 pounds (currently I’m at 5 sets of 5 reps of 150lbs, followed by 5 sets of 5 reps of 135lbs). I’ll akso be upping my other fitness goals as well, though I have nothing concrete as a set goal (currently I can squat 325, or do 1000 squats in 200 squat intervals, run a sub 30 minute 5K once I work off the holiday weight. Im also hoping to up my curls to get back to 40 pounds and hopefully I can get up to 50. Triceps are a bit tougher depending on the exercise, but I’m hoping to get similar levels in increase. I already can do 50 pull-ups in increments of 10 at around 200lbs, so I’m hoping to up that as I lose some of my holiday and bulk weight while increasing my vertical pull ups up to 150 from 125 among other fitness goals). With any luck all this works out. It’s looking to be a pretty ambitious year, so we’ll see how it go’s.
