In the ages I've been in the fandom, many galleries have been opened and closed, FA Is the only one with an actual community.
So, it may be wonky, it may even be scary due to the amount of rapecannibalismtorture, but It works.
My opinion is that is the lack of excessive censorship that makes this place work. As in the real world, everyone has a taste, and people with the same tastes gather into their own packs, and that's how communities are made.
