What matters about your art is that you yourself appreciate it. I admit most of the "fanart" I get are free requests, commissions towards other people or because I got lucky. But you know, that's fine. If anything I've learned that if I really want a picture, I can just make it myself and be content and in-turn it lets me spend my money on other frivolous things.


So yeah. Don't worry so much about not getting fanart. You don't need it to know you're a good artist.

I like your art. Don't give up.

I'm in the same boat. I think it's one of those things where 10% of the art community gets attention, and 1% of that gets most of the attention. And the more you upload, the more attention you get, too, as it reminds people you're around.

You're not alone there. I don't think I got many fanart. Some, but not many.

I can't really speak on the fan art thing but as far activeness unfortunately that's just how it goes when your less active with posting, believe me I'm going through the same thing and the worst thing about it is when you know you've improved yet just don't have as much time as you used to have back when you were a beginner x__X

You're not alone in that, hun. I really am sort of disappointed that no one has done fan art off my literature, despite me saying that it's approved.

I don't think many artists do fanart of each others characters anymore.
I cant think of a single one from my sub box in the last while too.
I also doubt it has anything to do with your art (or its apparent lack of quality) but much more the fact that fanart doesn't pay the bills.

You do have a beautiful character and if I was even half the artist you were I would give it a shot to make you feel (at least a little) better.

Oh it is appreciated trust me on that. It has nothing to do with your skills that's for sure.

Don't dwell too much on that, it'll come if it does and if not your no less a lovely artist

I haven't been on FA for the good part of a year.

I use a mouse and keyboard, plus I suck at drawing anyways. So I just colored bases. I would ask friends if they wanted one colored...

They would say yes, then they would never post the finished stuff. I know my stuff is bad, but to say yes, then not acknowledge it in any way?

I left and deleted a lot of them for that reason.

Sorry. Should have included... That I stopped doing art for others because of it.

Not that anyone wants it, so why bother.
