I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to drop in my two cents, here...
First of all, yes, I'm a 'WoW-tard' ... in case the Night Elf yaoi pic in my gallery didn't make it clear...
Second, like many people out there, I'm EXTREMELY excited about finally being able to have the Worgen as a playable race.
Yes, they're furry and feral and kick ass, but its also a missing part of Azeroth storyline I myself wanted to see cleared (yes, I don't play games just for the 'shiny' stuff and to PWN N00BS)
Still... I can't help but notice something, here... instead of explaining it, lemme show you:

Is it just me, or is this just blatantly similar? I mean, do't get me wrong, I don't want to sound biased because I play Warcraft instead of Guild Wars...
But, is there no originality anymore?
PS- if any of you want to find me on WoW, I'm on Terenas server: Garanir (Lv42 NElf Druid), Therenir (Lv24 NElf Hunter) and Sagaris (Lv18 Human Warlock) .

Not to mention all those times dragons arose to rechange the world across 80s and 90s DnD campaigns.

Honestly, if there isn't something on TvTropes of "Ancient Dragon Arises: Shatters World", I'd be very surprised. It's like the oldest "I'm bored with this world, so here's a shiny reset button" GM-trick in the book.
Rare to see it in an MMO that -isn't- making a 1 -> 2 transition, though.
The old "world shattering cataclysm that changes everything" plot 'can' be an easy way to bring a new breath to a story. But you 'can' do it with something more original than this...
Honestly, they have a gigantic 'ether' hole in the middle of the ocean, caused by a massive explosion triggered in a war against demons from another dimension (or whatever... I didn't play Warcraft III) and, of all things that could cause 'another' cataclysm, they choose a...
...dragon... ?

What's worse playing other MMO's have become stale too, from my experience on wow.
Playing alone, going through the game alone, quest in quest out alone... its not fun...
I still find it fun to play, cuz I've got a 'team' to play with.
Some people would respect, change classes, the arguments. It just grew dull for me, pvp was somewhat a relief for awhile. Now it's hard to play any game anymore heh, without feeling the same way I do towards Wow.
