I have to admit that I'm bias about body swap in media. I've loved the concept as long as I can remember (there's a specific TaleSpin episode that was a rather formative experience for me). I've also thought that the concept has a bunch of untapped potential, especially with anthro characters. There's a lot to be mined between the differences between species and dealing with new foreign features. Also, the whole body swap concept works best when there's two characters with strong distinct personalities.

With Windfall: An Otter-Body Experience, you tap a bunch of that potential that I've been hoping to see in an anthro tale for a long time. Kylie and Max are enjoyable characters to hang out with and I think this tale works as well as it does based on the strength of them as two distinct characters who's personalities have been flavored by their respective species and bodies. Them dealing with the subtleties of gender dynamics was also well executed, and them keeping their respective pronouns works both from a character and narrative standpoint to keep everything straight.

Adored all the little details thrown in of them dealing with new bodies from the "montage of inconvenience" to "Boys aren't user-friendly!" to playing with mistaken identity by talking to parents to enjoying new foods to the limitations/advantages of new body stats. In particular, really liked the scene of Max attempting to take a run and dealing with all the limitations and quirks that running as an otter would have. There's dozens of neat little details thrown in that really make the concept sing. Also helps that Kylie and Max have such a good back-and-forth chemistry in discussing the minutiae of their current situation.

Wouldn't mind if those snap bracelets made a return. But as said before, I'm wildly bias. I'm happy to see whatever quirky sci-fi tropes that Max and Kylie will run across next. Keep up the great work~

(Also, the title is such a darn good pun. I really love how fitting it is.)
