Herm is not as slur for trans or intersex people. it's a term used to describe creatures that possess both male and female reproductive organs. if someone is using it to describe trans or intersex people then they're using it wrong. I'm trans MtF but I identify as a herm because that's the gender that best represents my sexuality. I will likely never go through with hormone replacement or a sex change because herms don't exist in humans so there would be no way for me to become one. anybody claiming that herm is a slur is just as stupid as the people who do try to use it as a slur. both parties are using and interpreting the term incorrectly.
