Been feeling pretty good lately you know. Spent some time recently drawing some people's cool art from reference, trying to learn a little from it. Some folks out there have really good form, or they're really expressive. Or maybe it's the lines or color or other interesting stylistic things.
In my recent thing I added a white stroke around the art to sorta make it pop a bit against that basic background. Not bad, certainly better that way than with the other not very good BGs I could have used.

Been more focused on structure and planning the last little while in my doodles. It's nice when I go from one or two sketches to final sketch but sometimes it takes several more exploratory sketches to arrive somewhere interesting. It's a fun new way for me to brainstorm or work through issues.
I've traditionally had issues with structure and planning things out, instead more focused on doodling more for fun quick fun and amusement rather than challenge.

I need to get a little more sleep but I'll try to get some of the recent sketches together and post them to scraps soon.

I'd like to do a process video sometime. I have an idea for another silly drawing. Might set up for that.
Maybe this weekend though. I'm busy every day this week at meetings. :u
