So Bad News

(PayPal.me/Luciellia to help me and the kitties or Ko-fi.com/Luciellia if you prefer that way)
So the apt hunt failed (it kept that other people were chosen over us, Blech!), and we are out of time. Owner of the house wants us out this weekend. Don't have to worry about roomie thankfully, he can stay with his parents, even if that's not ideal for his mental state.
As for the cats and I. We will be homeless, and Idk how long for.
So no art for a while, I'm going to try to cram in as much of the last of my queue as i can tomorrow while I pack, but I also need to hunt down an affordable storage unit for my stuffs.
So uh, if anyone has some tips, I could use them... Ive been lucky enough to avoid being homeless until now but my luck dried up, it seems.

Do you have friends or anyone who could watch the cats? As for living homeless in your car, it can be tough and I have never been homeless but from what I know it's important to have a way to cover your windows while you sleep. It's easier to sleep during the day to avoid police/security bothering you. Depending on where you live there can be some ways to make money like collecting recyclables/litter just to pick up some extra cash. Again, don't know where you live so I can't recommend any resources but utilize as many food pantries as you can. Lots of gas stations have microwaves and cheap food to sustain you for the time being. I've also heard it can be difficult to find water sometimes, try to have a water bottle on hand and keep it full. There's a lot of personal accounts of homelessness on Quora, and there are resources out there to help you. I wish I could do more to help than that :( I hope some of this is helpful, it's all I've got at the moment

As for pet resources, there's an organization called pets of the homeless that helps with food and veterinary stuff, here's the only donation center I could find in Sacramento

If you have the resources it might be a good idea to get harnesses and leashes for them so you can let them out of the car without losing track of them. Either that or if you've formed a relationship with someone at the place you used to get their food at- I work at a pet store and I've watched animals for people before. Possibly asking a rescue center if one of the foster volunteers could watch a couple of them... I don't want you to lose one of them somehow ;_;
But if there's anything I can do please let me know, and keep us updated as you can. ;-;
Wish me luck trying to find temporary housing or a motel!! Hopefully that way the cats will have a safe place and i can start up work again!
as for the smell, there are companies which cleanse the interior of a car so thoroughly you wouldn't believe they were dirty to begin with. so, once you've settled down you can have your ride tidied up again.
being in germany I can't tell you how much a complete cleaning job will be, but here such a task starts at around 200€. I'm sure there are cheaper options, like just the carpet and seats cleaning.
The only little thing I can suggest is to stock up on some personal hygiene items (mouthwash!) and like someone else said, make sure you get a good lock for your storage unit. I've seen too many storage places with cheap broken locks.
My sister was homeless once, but refused to come home. She said she'd go buy foot-long sandwiches and make them last a week. Oof! Might get a cooler or lunchbox of some kind to keep your food safe from your cats possibly contaminating them, or the litter smell making food taste weird. But, maybe a backpack/etc could work for that too. I was just thinking it might help temperature-wise for cooler foods.
I wish you best of luck! I figured of all the people who are actively doing commissions here, you'd be the last to have this kind of thing happen.
And because of the combo of my chronic pain and the cats stress in the car I am very hesitant to travel long distances. It would be easier on my body and the cats if i can find a shelter or motel discount for a while. Im looking around hmmmmm
