Why I wasn't at FC

General
So, if you've been following my twitter, you already know... but I missed FC this year. T_T
I was super excited to go; I had panels to run and art for the art show... I had made plans with friends and photoshoots booked. Either way, I did not attend.
Halfway through my flight I got sick. My plane was delayed on my layover, and during the course of the layover my stomach decided it wanted to try gymnastics. First the nausea hit, then I was throwing up, then I was lying on the airport floor shivering and wondering what the heck I was doing.... this is stupid.... I should just go home. So I did.
I rebooked a flight back home and spent the night in a nearby hotel, then flew home the next day - my paws didn't even touch the ground in San Jose.
I won't go into detail of my night in sickness limbo... but lets just say it's probably the worst feeling in the world to be sick in an airport - you can't go home and you can't lie down properly and you're not even sure if you can make it to the nearest bathroom. D:
I spent my weekend contacting people to cancel plans and apologize between sleeping and rehydrating myself. I am feeling a million times better, so no worries there. But, if you were hoping to run into me at FC I am really really sorry - I looked and felt like death, and I didn't want to be that horrible patient Zero who gets the rest of the con sick.
I still have plans to attend Fur-eh and Anthrocon and Dragoncon. So if you missed me at FC, perhaps we will meet some other time. When in doubt, there is always next year!
