Not sure really. I watch a few folks that have humans or human-like characters in their art and they seem to do fine.

Yeh, I see a lot of well-to-do artists with humans/human-likes as well.

I know that some furries prefer the escape away from humans, so they tend to distance themselves from human works to furry works.
Inkbunny does not allow humans.
deviantArt tolerates furries, but doesn't understand them or like them that much.
FA is a mixed bag if it's not furry, but most will tolerate non-furry.

Personally I'm in the middle.
There are tons more art/hentai of the fetishes I'm into for humans, but love the furry works of those all the same.
I like furries for their designs and creativity.
For Original Characters, I don't have any humans, if that explains much lol.

Yeah it is FURaffinity so there's that... I just wasn't expecting such a reaction imo. Though it is only a tenth of a percent of who all watch me, so maybe I'm just worrying about nothing lol

I kno my watchers fluctuate sometimes since I don't really have a filter on what colorings I post.
Goes from girl with huge boobs, inflation, male muscle, herm, you get the point lol.

Overtime your watchers will "get it", the ones that don't will be those that unwatch you.
Just happens sometimes, just how accounts/channels work.
Not every person will like every thing that the person they watch/follow makes.

Some artists/creators change what they are making to "better suit their audience", but tend to be less happy with their work since it's not what they want to make.

I'd say it's just some peeps being weird, nothing to concern yourself with I'd say. Honestly I love art in all it's forms, not just furry art. I love watching all the art you do as well! Honestly I have a a few humanoid characters myself and I love them. Crazy thing tho, I came here to do a little art for myself as well, and honestly I found FA way more welcoming in a lot of ways compared to DA, even doing humanoid art. I kept getting reported on DA cuz I'm not a very well established artist, by people who just like to ruin it for others.
I'd say just look forward and if someone leaves like that, then they are missing out! ^.^

Yeah I used to have a DA account a looooong time ago lmao. Forgot about DA, but then only heard bad things from then on. With Tumblr shitting the bed, it seems there are quite a few less places to upload lewds, too.

I kept getting accused of "stealing" art when they had no proof, and of course DA staff don't really care, they just kept taking down a lot of my art and I just near gave up on posting art till I came here. It is smaller here yes, but I have been WAY happier here. Sadly DA still has people roaming around on their little crusades to get rid of poorer artists and all, so I stay here. XD

Might just be an overall trend? Lot's of people have been cleaning out their watchlists/galleries lately-and I've seen loads abandoning FA and the fandom altogether. Not really sure if it's connected, but it's all I've got. More than random chance, that is.

I've been on this site for almost 10 years and unwatches of this magnitude are extremely rare, so it's likely something I uploaded lol

Some people like me have personal reasons to why we can't actually look at humans in art or real life even (Pretty sure you know what sexuality i'm talking about) For me personally everytime i see a human doing anything lewd i puke in my mouth, i don't cringe, i just feel sick and guilty, hence why i just don't click on human art, for others it's probably different

I see you have plenty of responses to work from already. But, I'll just say my perspective regardless. There are a lot of human haters on FA, but there are also people who thrive with it.

I personally like seeing human art. As you said, variety is good. I especially like furryxhuman crossover stuff. (Like male furry and human female and visa versa.)

Yeah I still love furries and I think a 80% furry / 20% human split is pretty reasonable.

Some furs despise humans and WILL unwatch you for even posting them, but those are a minority in my experience. It's pretty much a mixed bag. Similar to how non-porn art, in my experience, doesn't get as many views, faves, and comments as porn does.

I upload both my furry and human art here. 1 because i have almost nowhere else to go that people can find out that it's ME who made my art and 2 it's a pretty cool website. I tag my human stuff so people can avoid it if need be.
