i understand that the need for money is urgent, but i don't think it's fair of you to take on commissions for product you know you won't be able to deliver when your last journal was just talking about how many you still owe and how you haven't done them.

I have attempted to be as transparent with everything as possible. I wanted to stop taking on commissions entirely back when I got hired onto my new job, but after being homeless for nearly a year, I had a lot more catching up to do than I anticipated, and way less time to devote to working on art. I've been stressed and exhausted, which has caused my motivation to draw to take a hit. Any time a commissioner has contacted me, I have apologized, offered refunds, and thanked for their patience. Everyone has been understanding and helpful, and I'm entirely thankful for each one of them. I have already expressed my desire to finish all art and/or refund the rest once I get my tax refund back and stop taking commissions for this exact reason. Until I'm entirely on my feet and the exhaustion that my job and home life combination doesn't put as much of a stress on me, I won't be taking more commissions.

My queue is public. It has been for a long time and I try my best to keep it updated. I am under no illusions of how bad this looks, I've been on the other side as well. No one is forced to commission me, or donate. I'm not trying to hide anything, or run off with money. If everyone on my queue list wants a refund, they will get it. If everyone wants to wait for art, they will get it. This is part of the reason I'm asking for easier commission types and only the bare minimum to get me by.

I have recently been trying to push myself to draw more with some success, however I fell ill the other day and am having a hard enough time staying awake. I am not trying to come up with excuses or dodge your very real, and very true point. I just thought I'd kind of express my situation and hope to kind of explain my side of things. Believe me when I say I don't want to have to do this. Its a constant burden that plagues me every day, but I do know I will get them done, or refund them if I do not feel as if I can.

I understand, I was just saying as someone who's experienced the same thing with commissions it's better to not swamp yourself any more than you already are especially if you know you can't keep up with the workload you already have. I'm in the same position.

I already have one or two that are on the refund list, and a couple more that I'll likely be contacting soon, just because of the nature of the commission being more than I think I can handle, so that is already loosening my load. I appreciate your concern and I hope we'll both pull out of this soon orz
