i wonder what would happen if

Hollywood was forced to abide by a ban on all comic book movies, sequels of any kind, and reboots of any kind for a period of 10 years...
i wonder if the writers, executives, and actors would even know how to do anything else...i think the entire motion picture industry would collapse like a tower of cards because nobody in Hollywood knows how to be creative anymore, or at least fund creative projects without HEAVY studio intervention...namely from evil empires like Disney.
its always nice seeing good talent wasted on uncreative garbage...it would be nice if such a ban were actually put into effect in January of 2020. i'd rather have nothing at all than another decade of garbage

I’m rather convinced the issue is bigger than that, unfortunately. There was this video on YT by Thoughty2 who explained how music industry kills music by producing more of the same because it sells well. I think this is a general rule and we can see it everywhere else. The music, the movies and even cars. When one company makes a model that sells well, suddenly there are dozens of very similar designs appearing on the market made by other companies. They do it, because they know they have a chance to sell. No-one’s gonna waste money for an experiment which success is at least ambiguous, thus entirely eliminating any originality. Once again, very very sad.
just to get a sense of how much they've taken over the entertainment industry, here is a map of all of their assets as of 2018: https://storage.googleapis.com/titl.....ageversion.jpg

they are literally trying to take over the entire entertainment industry and form a monopoly. they are SO far past their Golden Age/Renaissance days...once their Renaissance ended in the early 2000s, they began their Imperialistic Age...and its been going on ever since. its almost to the point where i think the US government needs to step in to prevent a 21st century monopoly
thats why i say they're the Evil Galactic Empire of the entertainment industry...nobody can compete with them without either getting driven out of business or bought up. pretty soon people standing up to their bullshit are gonna start disappearing Mafia style...its just insane, they're pure evil hidden behind a family-friendly facade...
speaking of the Evil Galactic Empire though...Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012, so they own Star Wars too
