Yeah, I originally submitted stories in text format because I thought it'd be easier for people to read things without downloading them. The only problem is that, if you *do* download them, they're incredibly ugly. I had the same problem with some .txt stories I downloaded.

I say completed series works best for a collected PDF, the next would be a sort of anthology PDF in the same setting or theme.
