I did the same in my Mickey Mose sweatpants this morning. It's dry now, and I also love the pee smell. Sometimes, I my plushies get wet too, because I like the smell as I sleep. :)

My room and my plushies both smell like dried pee. I am a bedwetter after all. I also have my own house, so I don't need to worry about what other people might think of the smell. I simply don't have people over, unless I trust that they are be okay with the smell.

I used to hide things to pee on when I was alone, before I bought my house. Some people can't pee while sleeping, because they worry about ruining their bed, or clothes. That worry probably prevents the wetting, even when some people are sleeping.

When I first started to wet the bed, it was on purpose. It happened because I discovered that I liked the smell, so I purposely peed on my pajamas, winter coat and toys. I was only around six when I first did that. I only did it once a month at first, but by the time I was becoming a teenager, I was purposely wetting at least once a week, and sometimes nearly every night. Eventually, I started to have genuine wetting accident while sleeping, probably because I was so relaxed and comfortable doing it. Most of the time, it's still on purpose though.

It might work, but there is no way to know without trying. Every person is different. Some pee easily, and others have a harder time.

I would not recommend peeing the bed on purpose too often - unless others in your house are okay with the smell - or if your room is in a separate part of the house so the smell doesn't reach the other rooms. I learned very young which places were best to hide stuff to dry. I also learned to do my own laundry, to avoid my mother from seeing my peed sheets. I hung pee smelly stuff in my closet, and sometimes outside in a tree-house. I was lucky though, because no one figured out that I wet the bed a lot. I loved to let the smell accumulate in some things that I could hide, but I always washed my sheets, because my mother would have looked at those.
