general health update
TL;DR = 95% sure I have rheumatoid arthritis.
Sever pain's been causing more "off days" from work than I'd like to admit.
I submitted about 7 vials of bloodwork yesterday to verify, and I'll post an update when it comes back.
the long version
here's everything as to why I'm thinking it's the case.
- the joint pain and everything else has been going on since about 2015
- I'm in the age range where this sets on
- personal physical trainer (which I hired to try and get my mobility back to a more normal life setting) said that all my symptoms lined up with her other auto-immune patients
- a parent was recently diagnosed with it (caught it early enough to where treatment is effective), so hereditary bonus
- currently I'm having focus-wiping migrating pains randomly throughout my entire body
Add all that on top of the usual fatigue, stress, chronic depression, etc - yay.
So yeah, went in for a physical yesterday. Otherwise good health, they ran some normal tests ... but they submitted the bloodwork for specific rheumatoid arthritis (and a couple other specific auto-immune related diseases).
There's the toxic-positivity outlook of "it could be worse, I know an uncle who had his balls gnawed off by a badger. you're not that guy, toughen up". But yeah, that's why i'm not as productive as I'd prefer.
As always, I appreciate your patience. But if it's not panning out for you, just send me a note. I legitimately am willing to either refund or barter any outstanding commissions that you don't want to wait for any more.
