Note to a Flake
This will be the final thing I write on the subject of the person who decided it was worth their time to make me write them a story and then flake out on payment after they'd seen the rough draft. That is, of course, unless some new development occurs.
To the Flake:
You may feel you've won; however, my fan base has proven that people like you never win. The story that you wanted to be written is being turned into what the buyer wants of it. That may even be the original story: they liked the teaser I posted enough to want to auto buy it. However, even if it is kept the same you've not won.
I will actively tell anyone who asks about this who you are so they can avoid doing work for a flake. I have changed my policies to protect myself from people like you in the future. If anything, you've merely inspired me to ensure that $152.00 worth of justice is served in the form of denying you the ability to repeat this again.
Here's hoping you can grow up and learn that it's never okay to steal. I strongly considered trying to take you to small claims court or attempting to locate your address to send a detailed invoice by postage to try to recuperate my losses, maybe next time you pull this someone will. Oh, and if you held on to any form of the rough draft do not try to post it anywhere: I will consider it art theft and go after you to the fullest extent of the law.
Never try to commission me again, through any means. I don't care if you get past this little phase of art theft, you are not welcome in my queue ever again. I don't give out trust easily, and you've earned my ire for the rest of your life for your immaturity.
To Artists Reading This:
Oh, and to any artists reading this: make sure to screen your clients through artist beware. The site is a great resource to help protect you from things like this. If you look in the client beware section on their new site ( https://artistsbeware.info ), you'll find my post along with proof that all of this happened. Unfortunately, I was most of the way through the story for the flake in question when another artist posted a beware of them.
To My Fans:
To any fan who may put two and two together and decide to go after this person: don't. This is not a call out journal, this is a message to other artists and to the flake in question because they are still on my watcher list for the time being and I can't contact them via notes because they blocked me in an attempt to make this disappear. Perhaps they will read it and decide that their miserable tactics need to stop before they get in severe legal trouble for violation of a contract.
Anyway, thank you to all my fans who bid on the YCH story or spread the word by favoriting the auction post or the teaser. You all are amazing for your support, and I'm very glad to know I have fantastic people following me who enjoy reading my stories.
