I seen this with submissions too.

I had gotten messages for a while telling me that "(number of) submissions were deleted, and these notifications will be removed once you clear your notification center" etc.

And I am just going "what the fuck was it that got deleted? Why put it up if it's gonna be removed?

The intention with the notification might be there more to let watchers/responders know when older submissions and journals are deleted, even if it doesn't tell you whom the owner was and so requires a bit of investigating watchers or seeing what's now missing to figure out who deleted the subs or journal. Most days I get the notification at the bottom of new submissions and while that can be a bit odd for those that don't delete all their notifications it can be useful.

I am not sure why FA feels the need to tell us about that or deleted submissions but I can imagine accidentally posting a comment to the wrong thing and then deleting it but it should not be a common problem I would think.
