I'm thinking of a number. the number has four digits. The first, second, third and last.
It is a positive number. The first and second numbers and the same. Two times the sum of the first and second number, equals the third number. Take 1 from the third number to get the last number and take.
you get 1 guess.
First person to get it right gets a shitty cameo appearance in one of my lame artworks.
There are multiple answers but only one that i am thinking of.
Goodluck.
In other news, i have the internet again! Yay me. Now i just gotta control myself so i dont use too much of my time here. Very busy life yes yes.
I am now a level 1 qualified as350ba or Squirrel helicopter maintainer. Yay me!
Finally starting to pull the cash, which should really help fund all my bigger projects, especially my ongoing car and the house projects. While having enough left over to splurge on fine tuning my snowboarding ability among other things. My aim is to be capable of rail-grinding the jugulars of the milo-kids. FOR THEY ARE EVIL AND MUST BE SLAIN >:3
ummm. I'm gonna have to start on some time management, im about to go for a ride on the deadly-treaddly, its been nearly a fortnight since i went to the gym. its a big deal for me as i was going up to 8 times a week. Gotta do some fitness before the kilos start turning to fat.
if you have read all that then... well... you need tooooooooooo, care less! yes thats it. IM NOT IMPORTANT PPL. you dont need nor should you care what im doing, TWITTER CAN HAVE A WHOLE WARM STEAMY TRUCKLOAD OF F*^KOFF.
I dont even know what i mean by that *implodes*

FA+

A + B Are same number
C = 2x (A+B)
D = C -1
If A = 1 then
A=1
B=1
C=2x(1+1) = 4
D= (4-1) = 3
So it's 1143
If A = 2 then
A= 2
B= 2
C= 2x(2+2) = 6
D = 6-1 = 5
Or it's 2265
These are the only two combinations because if A were anything greater than 2 (eg 3) then C would produce greater than 10 and 10 can't be a single number. C= 2x(3+3) or 12.
50/50 guess it's 2265. If I'm wrong, grats to the person who picks the other :P
welp I'm definately out lol
*pets* There there.
you get cookie points for trying though. However, naughty! having 2 guesses.
Once again, 4 digits. the product of the first will never be greater then the other unknown quantity in the problem, so long as the problem only contains 2 quantity: The product of our "first number" and the other unknown quantity. The second and third numbers are the same. the final number is the sum of all three.
Kinda wordy but i think its my sec fav number
Do you mean when you write "the product of the first will never be greater then the other unknown quantity in the problem," that the product will never be greater than any other denominator in an equation?
A = ?
B + C = Same number
D = A+B+C
If I understand the question right, then A = 1 because it will never be greater than it's product. This leaves the question to a multiple of answers.
A= 1
B+C = 2 or 3 or 4
D= 5, 7 or 9
The answers could be one of three. 1225, 1337 or 1449
But judging the last clue of your second fav number.. I'd go for 1337 :P
