Ted Kennedy has died.

This is a sad day in politics for me. Kennedy had an important role in getting as far as we are today regarding health care, and now I wonder whether or not we'll be able to finally move forward. Arguably, health care was his life's work. Now, we're so close to achieving a breakthrough, and yet at the same time, so far. What will the senate do? How will they pay their respects to his "legacy"? (and I don't mean that in a dynastic way, I mean that by all the stuff he did to try and help improve our way of life). I can only wonder.
RIP.
Edit: Orrin Hatch has written a song eulogizing the late Ted Kennedy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hr5oyEDGYkw
Senator Hatch, when you return to congress, please remember what Kennedy stood for, and take it into consideration when making your deliberations on the finance committee. Even if you don't ultimately vote for the existing reform bill, please let the damn thing get out of committee without the public option getting butchered.

FA+

But that doesn't mean give up, still plenty of people pissed off for the right reasons, THEY need to do something.
Still sad he died knowing all his hopes and work might be destroyed by delusional retarded inbred hicks and apparently nobody to stop them.
I just plain suspect the people that know better just given up on life.
... alas.
1: allow young people to vote
2: wait
3: Obama
damn lieberals and their time travel!
And!! Why do they always call it a handout? It's more like collecting on the social insurance which you paid for with your taxes when you're in a temporary rough spot x_x
And the joke flies right over my head !
That probably didn't narrow it down much.
That's quite correct about social insurance, they seem bitter about even that though. They secretly want a Libertarian, bordering on Anarchist society where there are no taxes and people pave the chunk of road in front of their property themselves and every house has a neon framed picture of Ayn Rand on the wall.
oh wait
