Happy birthday Miles, said no one.
No gifts received, no well wishes sent.
Sun came up, sun went down.
Just another day of the year to me.
Day in, day out, as my life approaches its perigee.
A birthday party is an absent sound.
Not a foot outside the door I went.
As will be repeated until my life is done.
