An Update

Get out of here old journal
Been a while since I've written one. I wanted to share where I'm at with stuff.
Firstly, I'm kinda itching to finish some of the models I'm sitting on, but don't really have the motivation to complete them at the moment. I've had Ideas with the gryphon model I started a long while ago, I just need to sit down and decide on the color scheme and texture, because the model is pretty much done. The way I wanted to do feathers is kinda unconventional, I'll have to try something else. I heard on the radio a few days ago, If you find yourself at a roadblock, try a different approach, or give it some time.look at things from a different perspective.
I've also wanted to update some older models, the sergal and the little aquatic fellow. There's a reason I only really take renders from the waist up on the guy, because the leg rigging is a nightmare. Should really just redo the thing, and make it more anthro i guess... dunno
I also have a few smaller projects started that I haven't finished, I have a few tanks that are half done, and a mig21 that I spontaneously started the other day, It's a lot more effort that it seems to make a model from a blueprint vs making a model from imagination, since you're limited to the details of what the real thing is. :/
In another scope. I'm starting to realize that I'm investing more time, energy, and money into this little hobby of mine. I'm super proud of myself, and so happy with what I never thought I could have done a year ago. With that, I want to add that I've had some ask questions about commissions. I'm flustered to know that some are interested, but I don't think i could really be capable of that at the moment. Right now, I'm pretty slow at making models, and with a full time job besides, I really wouldn't be able to provide time of arrivals or things like that. I'm all for the thought in the future though! Another tidbit of advice I received a while ago is to find something you love doing; become good at that; and find a way to get paid for it.
A bit of a branch from the last topic, I did make a Patreon account. I haven't done anything with it yet, but for those who haven't heard; Patreon is going to change it's pricing policies starting May 1st, and people who launch account pages before then will be grandfathered into the old pricing model, so I mozied on into it, just in case. If I do any type of work for money, I'm thinking I'd do a few things there. Maby release old models there, props and assets, environments I made. I might also do some small tuts or step-by-steps there too, since I've also gotten a few questions on how to model characters in the last few months.
I'm all very humbled by the new people visiting my pages recently! If there's any questions feel free to shoot them at me, private note, journal comment, or page comment. I'm pretty good at responding quickly. I feel like I'm starting to exit my shy cocoon slowly, but I'm still kinda holding onto it like not wanting to get out of bed :I
Cheers! have a good week everyone! ;)
