Pokemon. I haven't been very into playing the games since like 2002 or so (I have a copy of Pokemon X but I never got past the second gym) but I really dig the setting and the monsters.
Legend of Zelda - my favorites visually are Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass, my favorites in story and tone are Link's Awakening and Majora's Mask, and I have a special soft spot for Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.
Pikmin 2. Didn't care for the first Pikmin game but I loved the second one to death. Never played the third one personally but I sure enjoyed watching a Let's Play of it.
Kirby Kirby Kirby! It's a name you should know. Kirby Kirby Kirby! He's the star of the show! He's more than you think, he's got maximum pink. He's one tough cream puff.
Super Smash Bros. Every game in this series has been a top-notch party game/fighting game hybrid.
