I wanted to give you an update on my status. It has turned out to be one of the roughest months of my life.
It's been hard for me to talk about this because I don't even know where the Story begins.
Somehow I caught a form of Necrotizing Fasciitis.

What is necrotizing fasciitis you might ask?
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
Well its a flesh-eating disease. It is a very severe bacterial infection that spreads quickly through the tissue (flesh) surrounding the muscles and bone. In some cases death can occur within 12 to 24 hours. Necrotizing fasciitis kills about 1 in 4 people infected with it.


So yah your girl here is damn lucky to be alive! If I had waited any longer for treatment I probably would have been dead the next day.

I've never had an injury I think this severe, aside from about twenty years ago getting hit by a car and left for dead. I got through that and I'll definitely get through this. I'm too damn stubborn to leave this world.

So I was rushed to emergency surgery where they had to amputate majority of my foot due to this aggressive infection.

The pictures are not for the faint of heart mind you.

I lost 3 toes and a good chunk of My foot. My remaining toes are going to be amputated off and part of my foot too ,so I have a nub soon. But the inside part of my foot needs to heal for the next two or three weeks. So I have a wound VAC on it to help promote healing and then I'll go in for another surgery to create the nub using the remaining healthy skin of the two toes and top of my foot.

I'm stressing so much about all this, plus I will be unable to return to my apartment due to it was the place where I caught the flesh eating bacteria, (honestly the apartment complex needs to be condemned IMO) plus there is a large set of stairs that I will no longer be able to go down to get to the basement level floor where I live.

So as I am standing in the hospital I have to basically do apartment hunting which is stressing the hell out of me.
I feel so alone.
I know that I can get through this, it's just an awful lot to be dropped on me all at once.

My tablet has been brought to me so I can attempt to draw some.
but Due to the medication they have me on and the various array of different antibiotics and pain meds, All art is going to have to be on hold or on a slow drip as I work towards finishing a commission I'm working on while I'm in the hospital recovering.
