The pod race sequence of "Star Wars Episode I" is a thriller and a fan favorite to be sure, but has anyone ever questioned the wisdom of letting an 8 to 10 year old (Anakin Skywalker that is) participate in such a fast paced, very dangerous race? ;-D

To me the only way that the movie gets away with it is that both George Lucas and the audience know that Anakin Skywalker's the best damned pilot there is, and even was as a kid.
