Alrighty, so it seems it's all normal stuff then. Thank you <3
So I'm trying to stream via Picarto using Streamlabs OBS (as is recommended by Picarto), and there seems to be like 10-15~ seconds of delay between what I'm doing on my screen to when it actually shows on the stream itself.
I expect some delay between them but this seems like too much. I've followed the tutorial on Picarto about using Streamlabs OBS and even messed around with some numbers, but the lag/delay is just awful.
I tried using OBS Studio and the same thing is happening. I've yet to try it with XSplit but I don't imagine it'd be any different.
Am I doing something wrong? Is this just how it is?
Any help is much appreciated :x

you can lower your bitrate but that wont change too much and youll lose a lotta quality
a high bitrate would slow it down even more + add a bigger delay because its more information to go through the servers/be uploaded to the internet
but with art you also dont want it too low otherwise people are just gonna be seeing a lotta blurry and fuzzy lines and pixels, but the same could be said if you make it too high and your internet/someone elses internet cant handle it youd just get a bunch of pixels and stuttery video, a happy medium is suggested on picarto's site and its usually best to stick to what it says haha
good luck with streaming :3
