Why am I like this Dx

To any artists Watching me...
Do you at times come up with this super neat project that you really want to do... and then after so much time put in, sudden realization hits you saying 'this is out of your reach'. I mean that as in, the project is just far too ambitious for you to feasibly complete- you're not, in a really crude way to put it, good enough.
I mean, I just posted a WIP for my school project, the big one I make that is literally "Come up with a story, and animate it... use everything you have been taught from the previous classes". That project is now 4 months in, and I have shit to show for it. It's a SCI-FI city, but I have only 7 different buildings just copy pasted everywhere. Sure, it's much bigger than my last attempt ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/24082532/ ) but even then what I have now is FOR SURE not better in terms of details and such.
*sigh*
Honestly I'm gonna have to put it back on the drawing board. The more I look at what I had planned, the more I realize that it's simply too much work to get it done in time. Perhaps a more simple design to the city, or something... I don't know. If you're a supporter on Patreon you'll be seeing more WIPs of this project, definitely different looking from the one I had posted yesterday.
