really, I am so happy right now, I am happy because I have found an old childhood favourite, let me explain.

Our grandad - he'd see me and my sister enjoyed a cartoon film and thought he'd tape it for us to watch later...however, had a tendancy to do this halfway through the films in question... so alot of the minor feature-length cartoons I loved as a child I have no idea what they're called, no idea how they started. D'oh!

Anyway, this particular 'jap cartoon' as it was labeled by my grandad XD (please don't judge - he's from a different era) - was about this kid who fought dragon kings, with a ribbon and a gold wrist bangle! it wasn't till I was alot older I found out this child was actually a little boy! (feminine as hell) and everyone called him 'Nie - yah'...niya? how the hell do you spell that?...so I put 'Dragon King' into the youtube search engine instead and what should come up first? none other than my favourite scene from the film!

I really want a toy of that creepy pink dragon, he's awesome

anyway, I'm very happy right now, and hopefully now I'll know what to look for on amazon for when I purchase this on dvd.

I'm going to go watch it from the beginning now


EDIT: aha! I've just gotten to the bit where he's resurrected, and comes back to fight the dragons whilst wearing a flower frock, wielding flaming rollerblades, a silk ribbon and a gold javelin
