I'd say add a small story to each post. Adds a bit of flare to it...I tend to make dialogue for some pics of mine, and it's fun to do.

Adding story can add to a post, but I find if it’s quite long I tend to skip past a lot ^^;

You could try a "Why not both" scenario where you put a short description of the art and then a little story. That way the story is optional and you can see the meaning is for the art piece.
