Thank you to those who commented and gave me some helpful advise but I finally decided that I'm not going to fool around with the old account that was giving me issues. I went ahead and closed that account and created a new one instead. Hopefully this one won't be giving me any problems too but just in case it does my other preferred payment method will be Google Pay.
