why should i compare you to anyone though? You are you're own person with your own skills, and you're own way of doing things no need to compare to anyone else
I don't have fond memories of interacting with YOU. You ain't no angel, and I only remember you ever coming to my page to bullshit about something or other, then you commented, blocked, and ran like a little bitch.
Go where? I have no idea who this guy is, i googled him to find out, people seem to really miss this guy but from first impressions he doesnt seem all that great to me. People just seem to be morning the fact one of the first people to do 'furry art' is dead not that he was a great guy or his amazing deeds will be missed, again the first things that come up about this guy is "Beware of artist" thats not good dead or alive...
You just pissed on someone's still-warm corpse and are continuing to do so, and that is Not Okay. How the hell is it that I need to explain this? It doesn't matter what he did or did not do. The man is gone—he is unable to defend or redeem his own reputation or honour. What remains of him is his memory, and you're publicly telling people that he's not worth remembering. You are kicking a dead man. Why???
Respect the dead, even if you don't know them. Even if you don't like them. These are the rules as dictated by common decency.
just stating facts nothing more, relax, and if i dont like someone i really dont give a damn about common decency. Again im just stating facts what i say isnt going to change someones opinion on them if they care or this man was insanely nice to them. Respect is earned, just because someone doesnt doesnt mean they suddenly get it
He was as all people are a mixed bag.
But the way I see it he's not dead, he's just become the protagonist in one of those transported / reincarnated into another world mangas. I wish him the best of luck on his future world saving adventures.
: / okay that is sad. I had dropped out of his fan base, while having been at teh start... I droped out like, a copule years after FA finally existed. He was too much copy / aste for me, as soooooo many artists called him out on, rightfully so.
Today, seeing how it ended, an seeing how far he came as an artist? Not only copy / pasting the same 7 or so poses, but being an artist in his outright? I miss him already.
It's always sad to me when someone pre dating Ink or FA, but Pal, is lost like this..... I hope you were happy with your art, and decisions my friend. You always meant a lot to me and I hope my remindingins did not fall upon deaf ears. :)
The Wheel of time turns and some of us have to leave its turning aside. Some of us leave too soon, May the new journey have same success as in this.
I enjoy even more of the art he created as its his legacy to us all may it newer disapear and be found to new people to enjoy.
makes me mad that there is still not a real cure for cancer, gouverments give alot of money for other stuff like for the military and other crap than for Research and Development for cures of sicknesses
The problem here is that there is no "cancer" as a single disease; it's a whole bunch of diseases that have some similarities but also an awful lot of differences. An one-stop cure for cancer is unlikely to ever happen, no matter how good we get at treating specific cancers, or even whole classes of cancer.
A lot of the OG furries seem to be going away at this point... It's sad that I never knew them, not having gotten involved with furries until FA first came around, but... I still feel sad about losing them. They were yet another creator I never learned to appreciate in life.
The sad truth is, if you live long enough, you tend to outlive your heroes and inspirations. We've already lost Doug Winger, James Hardieman, and Vicky Wymen over the last couple of years and will likely loose more in the coming decades but if we continue enjoy their art and storytelling and pass it onto the next generation of fans, then we keep something of them alive.
Frankly there are a couple of artists that I think people should be exposed to that never got a chance to get the following they deserved because they died before FA ever came into being. I speak particularly of an artist named Deal (dang if I can remember how to spell his last name but I'm terrible things like that) who was a close friend to Ken Sample and Lisa Linx and a top notch artist in the league with Max, gNAW, and Eric Schwatz but passed away in the 90s at a young age due to sickle cell.
I think it might be a consideration for future cons (take note Uncle Kage) to have events to showcase the art from those founders of the fandom who no longer with us
Fred was working on a collection of his book reviews, which he completed and it will be published later this year. He did already do a comprehensive history of furry conventions, which I think came out a few years ago. I'm pretty sure he did at least one online article about the history of the fandom, but I'm not sure how to find it.
My own father died of complications due to cancer in his liver. So, my sympathies go to Shon's family, and I pray he's at peace and without suffering.
Only got to meet him once, at Project A-Kon years ago. He was affable, friendly and was willing to do a couple of sketches for me after I bought a folio of his artwork. Liked his style so much, I cut my digital coloring teeth on it.
Godspeed, Shon. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
I saw this last night and didn't think to answer this until now because I had only known of him through his art. Still though, it was always a joy and inspiring to see it. Always makes me want to do better.
He was on my watch list. That's the second person I've been watching who has died this year. King Cheetah lost his battle with Cancer and the other killed himself, but both are tragic.
Hmm...
He made a draft of the little fenwa Tanaz.
He'll never finish her now.
But I'll happily will add that draft as an illustration when I ever get to that point in my stories that that picture shows.
As it'll be then just like if one of the characters from the stories tried to to sketch the little fenwa. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/27062127/
