My dog passed away (Small update)
Just wanted to update everyone just in case I seem less productive or anything!
A week ago my dog, Monkey, passed away. He was twelve years old and had been a part of the family for his entire life.
Back in October he went blind and it was found that the reason was kidney failure. We did lots of running to the vet and he was on many medications. He never complained and was just as happy as always. Just an amazing champ.
About two weeks ago he started getting lethargic and the vet put him on a diet of human food to try to get his strength back up, but sadly by last Sunday his kidneys just gave out. Me and my friend spent all of Sunday and most of Monday giving him fluids through a dropper and just sitting with him as he didn’t have the strength to do anything. Then Monday evening we took him to the emergency vet where he was put to sleep.
He was very close to a lot of people and really did good for everyone around him. Having to tell so many people he passed really showed just how many hearts he touched (even the ladies at the apartment office cried).
He always wanted us to stay happy and would go through great lengths to cheer us up when we were sad. So I’m just trying to keep that up for him and stay positive!
On another note, I’d like to thank
and
for their unending support in the months since Monkey’s been sick. It’s been really rough and they were there for us in so many ways. Thank you my friends. I couldn’t have stayed this strong without you.
I am back to working on things now after a week of taking time to grieve. But it may just be a little slower than usual! I really appreciate everyone’s patience.
The raffle prizes are still in the works as well, I promise I haven’t forgotten ^^
Thanks for reading, and thank you for being awesome! Take care.

He did have a great life, and that makes it all worth it ^w^
Again, I am so sorry.
If there's anything I can do to help ease your pain, please let me know, and I'll try my best.
I really appreciate it, and I will keep that in mind. I’m also here for you if you need someone to talk to.
Jasmine sounds so adorable ^^
When we lost our Beagle boy Oscar, I cried for Months. It's okay to cry and it's okay to Greive for as long as is needed.
Right now I'm teary eyed just having read this ... Take your time and Remember, He is not gone, he simply lives in your Heart now.*Huggs*
I’m sorry you lost Oscar, and it’s good you let yourself take the time to grieve. It is good to cry, and the healing process can’t be rushed. They will always be in our hearts *hug*
, I agree that's very hard to move on, but He in heaven might don't want to see you being sad.
I'm sure he want to see you're happy like when you and him spend moments together
The best boy don't want to make his best friend sad when the departure time hss come
Exactly, and I keep reminding myself of that ^^ he wouldn’t want me to be sad.
Aww, thanks for those wonderful words <3 they’re so sweet.
