Nowaki's pending backstory
No he doesn't have a boo-hoo sad story line. The more I think of it in my head, the more it sounds like a Devil May Cry story-line XD
Nowaki’s back story:
He is one of the many spiritual entities in a religious organization. He and the other souls protect sleeping humans from nightmares caused by other entities called “Alps”. Alps are small demonic creatures from German folklore that stood on people’s chests at nights causing “night terrors”.
His original form is an anthomorphic Maltese tiger. A large gray and white tiger with black striping throughout his body and fiery yet friendly orange-yellow eyes. He has always been a good listener and a quiet observer which caught the attention of the headmaster who oversees all entities and trains them in spiritual combat (aka Thoughts and Prayers).
The headmaster of his section was very pleased with Nowaki’s abilities as a protector and eventually began to give him special assignments that involved more dangerous alps as well as other nightmare causing entities. These missions were not to be discussed with anyone other than the headmaster himself. In addition, that he was repeatedly reminded the ONLY way to protect is by praying and singing to the “Server” to send protection and send the entities away. Just as his headmaster predicted, Nowaki exceeded all predictions. It wasn’t long until he was invited to live in the convent reserved for high-ranking priests and researchers. Everything was wonderful.
However, while most alps and nightmare-causers would leave in time after prayers, there was a solitary freakishly shaped one who lingered, and watched silently from the opposite side of the room. No prayer he knew would make a thing like that leave. The entity didn’t even seem interested in attacking the sleeping host. It only seemed to observe patiently until Nowaki made one minor slip up and all hell broke loose. It was enough to trigger parental and demonic instincts Nowaki never thought he had. Instincts that would put his reputation and life on the line as well as shake the very foundation that the religious order was based upon.
Shaken from his ordeal, he returns to the convent to research exactly what he was faced, and will it return.
