Another trip around the sun completed... & Update
6 years ago
My pouch day was 9 days ago and having beating the odds which has me at 3 score and 2 years now.
Med report:
No rascals, walkers or canes needed to get around so knock on wood there. Did manage to tear things on one shoulder a few months later tear things in the other shoulder as well as something in the left forearm doing normal things while at work. Not a good sign. Means I'll have to do some strength exercises for those and other areas to keep it from happening again.
Other news:
Had a funeral for my uncle the Tuskegee Airman who passed at the ripe age of 99 followed by my aunt who spearheaded the Tuskegee Airmen Chicago "DODO" Chapter Oral History & Archives Project succumbed to Alzheimer's at 92. They were part of our village that raised us kids proper and I thank them for that.
Other than that, it's been fairly uneventful which is how I would like for it to be.
Anyway here's hoping to make it another year *raises glass*

Please accept my condolences for your losses, knowing what they have done is a sign that they have helped make the world a better place.
I thought your uncle passed away last year? He was really cool, I always looked forward to seeing him and the other Tuskegee's at EAA. I value that book on the Tuskegee's that your uncle and all the pilots signed that year, passing it around.
He did pass last year July 26 2018. His wife, my aunt passed February 12 this year. The memorial was the 18 of May.
They all were cool by me. They are a treasure to be remembered.
