Postural Orthostatic tachycardia syndrome

The mouthful that is part of my life XD.
Let me start by saying this isnt really a coming out or a look for attention ect. No need for blanket support comments, I am happy and adaptive and have a wonderful support group in my own home. Please save those energies for people who dont have those resources <3 <BUt I love you all for those caring thoughts>
I mainly wanted to share because of how under represented this condition is. Virtually unheard of unless you have been diagnosed with it. Ive met more doctors who have never heard of it, than ones who have.
often people are misdiagnosed as general dehydration, anxiety, or simply a bad day.

This video and this dude has breathed a better understanding of this condition than anything I have ever read or watched prior to now. If you are suffering from something thats gone un diagnosed and your symptoms fall in line with these; dizzyness or fainting on standing, heart palpitations, tremors, exaggerated anxiety response, lethargy, heat intolerance. Or any of the other symptoms listed on appropriate websites defo bring it up with your doctor and ASK for the appropriate tests.
Dont be afraid to have the discussion, you should never feel like you are being difficult and dont allow your doctor make you feel that way either.

FA+

The dizzy spells are quite bad. Lethargy as well. Didn't faint, but came close on a few occasions.
Found that meds helped a lot, but I haven't taken meds for years now due to cost.
Still have occasional bouts, but it is far better than it used to be. (likely cause i'm more active than i was as a kid) Haven't followed up with any doctor for quite some time though.
Hope you are getting treatment though if its rough.
I dont get treatment currently, it was hard enough to get diagnosed I just didnt want to fight with the doctors to get meds.
I do ok though for the most part, better than when I was a teen actually, I dropped constantly in my teen years XD.
Some bad days, some ok. Long as I dont do squats or run around in the sun I generally stay upright. lol.
That video was just awesome for helping me understand some of the stuff I go through like why little pains have me hitting the floor. If you didnt watch totally would give him a peak, after this I kina want to see if I can get a sleep study done when I get back to the states
