Wildlife Waystation threatened by fire...

Los Angeles is burning...again. Not really anything new, but this got me a little anxious.
From the local kabc eyewitness news website:
"At least two animal sanctuaries, including the Wildlife Waystation, are also threatened by the fire. More than 100 horses need to be evacuated from Osborn Stables, but the Waystation's 400 wild animals, which include bears, tigers and chimpanzees, cannot be evacuated."
I've been to the Waystation before and it is truly an amazing place for rescued exotic animals. It would be a great loss and a tragedy if the fire encroaches on the waystation and the animals cannot be evacuated.
Already three human victims have been injured, which is not a light matter, but I can't help but feel for the animals who would have no place to go should the flames grow near.
Here's hoping that no one else is hurt.

I was up in the area on my motorcycle very early this morning and the flames looked to be heading the opposite direction, but things can change at a moments notice with these fires. I'll be crossing my digits and hoping for the best.
