I know a couple folks have spread this around a bit.
Friday I lost my job unexpectedly. No pink slip, nothing, was told to hand over my badge and keys for the school. Was told I was going on admin leave.
I don't know if this means I'm fired for good, or if this is a step they take as I was actively pursuing a different role in the company.
Either way, this leaves me without a paycheck until this either sorts itself out or I find a new job.
I don't want donations, I want to work for my money. Since I'll be home for quite a while this guarantees a fast turnaround time.

I'll also be listing a bunch of Fuzzy Feelings soaps and body splashes too in an effort to generate funds.

Were you a full time worker or something like a contractor?
I would recommend you contact HR to get more information on what happened, like are you on paid or unpaid leave, are you coming back and if not why. And why are you on leave.
If your school has a union, you can reach out to them for help.
If you aren't being paid, they need to tell you why, and you should contact Unemployment.
Even if it's a temporary thing, you may still qualify for benefits.
I've been between jobs a couple of times myself so I do understand wanting to earn your pay, but pride can't pay rent.
