Bah! First patreon and now shinies . Everyone is starting to ask money for art.
Where's the spirit of making art for fun .

There is some interesting side effects of the current climate. Since the majority of people like more mainstream subject matter and attracting a bigger audience makes more money I do worry art in the community will be bread to be more "normal" in the pro-suit of more earnings. SO keep up the weird stuff!
Funny thing is that these same people then start complaining about AAA-game companies when they start doing microtransactions and lootboxes, which is basically the same thing. Ah the Irony of it all. =P
I agree though, I just draw for fun because I'm a weirdo furry with weird likes and interests, just knowing that people are out there appreciating my work is enough for me. Heh~ X3
Although from what I've heard the shinies system is just a donation kind of thing, so it's not necessary to view said artworks, just an extra way to support your local artist... at least from what I got from it. Dragoneer said that he wouldn't want to put things behind a paywall ( https://www.furaffinity.net/journal.....4#cid:56096738 ) but... it's Dragoneer and he didn't specifically say he wouldn't allow users to do that at some point in the future. I dunno, maybe I'm just sceptical. ^^
maybe they -are- poor but when i check their journals it tells differently.
people are getting to greedy and lose their drive of sharing their art , am not saying that all should be free , commissions are a decisions of the commissioners.
am just starting to get the feeling like ur walking in a red light district, girls are showing a little bit from behind windows , "wanna see more ? come inside and pay":P
And yeah, It's like people forget that in the end, it's a hobby. I keep my stuff available to everyone since I still remember that I'm just sharing my hobby with fellow hobbyists. The redlight equation is pretty spot-on btw. =P
