Tryin' to get the feeling again...

... to quote the title of a song by Barry Manilow, if I may.
Some of you may be wondering, when there will be a new Kaa drawing? That's something even myself can't answer. I've been trying, posting the occasional doodle on Twitter, but that has been the extent of it for quite some time. Every time I try to do more substantial, I struggle a lot trying to come up with ideas, or poses, or anatomy. So I end up erasing it, discarding, or not completing it. Nothing that I try looks right. I have even tried to look at other folks' works for ideas to spark my own, but it also fails. The inspiration and motivation just aren't there.
But unlike the Manilow song, I don't know if it's something that one can ask a doctor.
It is a slump that I want to overcome. But when I will triumph, or even if I will, I cannot say.
Thanks for understanding.

Like the dragon says, take a break. It helps.
It ain't nothin, you ever said or ever did wrong, your muse done gone.
I've been there myself and am also trying to work through it. I'm getting there, sort of. Occupying yourself with something else might help. Stop focusing on the artwork and focus on either writing or maybe another hobby. Me, I focused on building an RC boat out of scrap. I just need to solder some wires and it shall be ready for her maiden voyage!
You really did have a neat style and your art was always pretty well done! Better than anything I could do.
Write up a story about some characters that you create, and run them through some situation. You can do this entirely in your head at first; it sounds like your imagination is a little starved for attention, and you need to find that hook that will let you picture things more clearly in your head. Come off the drawing pad or tablet for a bit, and get back inside your mind where all this good stuff came from in the first place.
To start, just try to picture some characters of yours doing those things you find interesting. Don't try to force it; if it doesn't feel right in your head, it's not gonna translate to text or imagery well. Be inventive with it. Mix in some humor, some action, some Conan the Barbarian, some Star Wars... whatever strikes your fancy at the moment and feels like it will lead to something more, something you can build on in your mind.
If you find yourself kinda daydreaming about what they do next, or feel like you've got a story going, maybe write some of it down. Then take what you wrote and imagine it as a scene, and draw from that for the actual art. Well, the *imagery*; you've been engaging in the art side of it for a while now if you get this far. ^^
Good luck. I hope you can find an idea to spark something new.
I have one that you might like.
That is, if you're willing to hear it out.
